How we work
Who pays for this. EHS Career Paths is funded by CDMS, a California EHS consulting firm led and owned by Sajama Mitta. We state the ownership plainly because you should know who pays for what you read. There is no paywall and there are no sponsored articles. If that ever changes, sponsorship will be labeled on the piece itself.
What CDMS gets out of it. Two things, openly: EHS professionals who know the CDMS name when they are job hunting, and a stronger profession in the state where we work. CDMS job openings appear in our curated job digest, formatted identically to every other listing. CDMS is never promoted in editorial content.
How we handle facts. Every data piece carries a methodology note: what we sampled, when, and what the limits are. Claims are sourced to primary documents (agency classifications, salary schedules, exam bulletins, regulation text), not to other blogs. When a claim comes from professional experience rather than a document, we say so.
How we handle candor. Our test for publishing a critical observation: would we say it to the person across a table? We critique postings, processes, and market patterns. We do not speculate about motives, name individuals critically, or pile on. When we name an employer's posting, we quote what the posting says and compare it to published market data, and we give credit to good postings by name just as readily.
Conflicts. Postings from active CDMS clients are excluded from job digest commentary entirely, positive or negative.
